Get To Know Dr. Sinha
Dr. Sinha is an interventional cardiologist specializing in complex coronary interventions, structural heart disease, endovascular interventions, and advanced heart failure. He is among the most extensively trained interventional cardiologists in the San Fernando Valley and is recognized for his expertise in minimally invasive therapies for valvular heart disease, coronary artery disease, and stroke prevention.
After graduating with honors from Stanford University with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences, Dr. Sinha earned his medical degree from Yale School of Medicine. During medical school, he was selected for the prestigious Howard Hughes Research Scholars Program, where his work in cancer immunotherapy resulted in a patent and earned the American Cancer Society's award for "Best Thesis in Cancer Research" in Connecticut. Dr. Sinha completed his Internal Medicine residency and Advanced Heart Failure/Heart Transplant Fellowship at Yale before pursuing a Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship at the University of Washington. He then completed two years of advanced Interventional Cardiology training focused on complex coronary and structural heart interventions.
Committed to continual advancement, Dr. Sinha later completed additional fellowship training in advanced endovascular and structural heart interventions through the VIVA Advanced Endovascular and Structural Heart Fellowship. Under the mentorship of nationally recognized leaders in the field, he developed expertise in complex peripheral vascular interventions while further refining his skills in structural heart procedures, including transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) and transcatheter mitral valve repair (MitraClip). His research has been presented at national scientific meetings, including CRT, and he has authored peer-reviewed publications in cardiovascular medicine.
Since joining CCMG Cardiology in 2016, Dr. Sinha has helped establish and expand comprehensive structural heart programs throughout the region. He serves as Structural Heart Director at Henry Mayo Hospital, where he developed the hospital's PFO closure program in 2019 and its TAVR program in 2021. Under his leadership, the program has achieved outstanding clinical outcomes.
Dr. Sinha was among the first interventional cardiologists in the San Fernando Valley to perform TAVR as a primary operator and is now one of the region's most experienced structural heart specialists. Since 2017, he has performed more than 500 TAVR procedures as primary operator with excellent results. His practice also includes transcatheter mitral valve therapies, Watchman left atrial appendage closure, PFO closure, complex coronary intervention, and endovascular procedures.
Dr. Sinha is board certified in Cardiovascular Disease, Interventional Cardiology, and Endovascular Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC) and a Fellow of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (FSCAI). He is known for combining advanced procedural expertise with a thoughtful, patient-centered approach to care, helping patients navigate complex cardiovascular conditions with compassion, clarity, and the latest evidence-based treatments.
